Orange County health officials have confirmed the second measles case of 2026. The patient is an international traveler who arrived at Los Angeles International Airport before visiting Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

β€’ The infected person visited popular tourist areas while contagious
β€’ Measles is highly contagious β€” spreads through air when an infected person coughs or sneezes
β€’ The virus can remain in the air for up to 2 hours
β€’ Symptoms appear 7-14 days after exposure

β€’ High fever (up to 104Β°F)
β€’ Cough, runny nose, red eyes
β€’ Rash that starts on the face and spreads
β€’ Small white spots inside the mouth

β€’ Make sure you and your family are vaccinated (MMR vaccine)
β€’ Two doses of MMR vaccine are about 97% effective
